quality materials and craftsmanship are central to Corinne’s artistic practice. corinne is trained in current and art historical methods of canvas building and preparation, making and mixing paints, and colour theory.

each canvas is stretched by hand, primed with gesso, and sanded to create durable and beautiful surfaces for painting. this process ensures the quality of the paint, particularly oil paint, lasts a lifetime.

corinne sources the highest quality paints, canvas, and timber from australia, the united states, and europe. she builds all of her stretcher bars and frames by hand at her studio in st. kilda.
